We are obsessed with home organization experts on Instagram…and a year ago, we discovered Corinne Morahan of Grid+Glam. You know those rainbow colored refrigerators? Perfectly labeled and edited pantries? You know what we’re talking about.
Either way, we found our local organization expert, and are not letting her go! We want to share her with you all!!!
We decided to ask simple, easy questions…much like the Vogue 73 questions series. Which we love!!! So, here goes the first interview of 2020.
Morning Corinne! Tell us a little about yourself:
I run an online Membership to help busy, high achieving women get and stay organized in all aspects of their lives. And, along with my team, I do in-person organizing for clients that want their homes and their lives transformed for them. My superpower is bringing order to chaos because what that really does is help us all live simpler, calmer, happier and more fulfilled lives. When I’m not working, I’m with my husband and two kids . . .or organizing my own home.
How did you start your day today?
I woke up at 5:30 and did a 30 min Peleton ride in my home gym
If you could spend your day with anyone in the world, who would that be?
Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx and a bad-ass entreperenuer, business woman, wife and mom.
Sweet or Savory?
Sweet, every time
What are the three things you can’t live without?
Eyelash extensions, an organized home, sex
Define yourself in three words:
Sensitive, persistent, focused
What’s your guilty pleasure?
First concert you attended?
Spin Doctors concert in NYC when I was 16
What book did you recently finish?
The Slight Edge
Do you consider literature art? If so, Dickens. I’m more into literature than visual arts.
If you could switch lives with one person, who would it be?
What’s the one thing you’ve always wanted to try, but been to scared to do?
What do you have in your purse right now?
A lot of pouches with everything perfectly organize
What do you usually eat for breakfast?
Fried eggs with avcocdao
Non-dairy greek-style yogurt with granola
Where was the best vacation you’ve ever taken?
Safari in Tanzania with my husband right after we got engaged
What’s one city you’ve dreamed of traveling to?
Sydney, Australia. The fires there are so heartbreaking.
How do you start your day?
With a 5:30 alarm and a quick 30 minute workout at home
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
Be kind. Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your life?
Having kids! Second to that was cliff diving in Jamaica.
Early riser or Night owl?
Both. It’s the middle of the day where I struggle.
Dogs or cats?
Dogs. But only other people’s. Never my own. Like, ever.
Yoga or Crossfit?
Disneyland or camping?
Beach. But if I had to choose, camping.
Ocean or lake?
Coffee or tea?
This was so fun! Thank you Corinne! We loved reading your answers, and you know what? We joined her membership. It’s been a desire to have a completely organized (and obviously beautifully designed) home, and now we will have both! Be sure to follow her and her team on instagram, or hire them for your organization needs!
This is a new monthly feature we have this year…stay tuned for next month…you never know who we have asked! Now, here’s some great things we’ve ordered for our home organization journey this year:
Channeling our inner gothic character on this Halloween... Don't worry, we didn't go too dark, we think that skulls and black should be included in every house...and here are some of our favorites. Remember, just because you prefer to walk on the gothic side, it doesn't mean that you can't be light and glamorous too...…
Who represents Beverly Hills Glam better than... The Kardashians! Well, maybe a few Housewives... But seriously, take a look at their bitchin' interiors. And they've given shout outs to their designer too. As we know, Rome wasn't built in a day, nor were the Kardashians. But one thing is for sure, their interior design is…
Where do we find inspiration. Who do we follow. Who do we consider part of our design tribe. Listen up. We love Design Sponge. Just one of the many fempires we dream about being one day. Since we are dreaming, let's pretend we were interviewed by Design Sponge, say for their next edition of IN…
