Treasure hunting Tuesday: flea market finds We love a bargain. And we love a good flea market. Here are some of the awesome finds from last weekend. That’s impeccable.
We were asked to come up with a design for a cozy, little sitting area in a unique space for a client’s kitchen.
We knew that we had a perfect piece for the spot; we found a church pew that we painted white to match the existing white wainscot to give it a one-of-a-kind almost built in look. But…we only had ONE!
Oh! And did we tell you our client’s home is just outside of NYC?
Yes, we travel from New Hampshire to New York, no problem. But that is not the story here.
The weeks leading up to the install we, seriously, looked everywhere for another bench.
We were able to find them, like always, we were looking for something specific, and the one we had was just the right size for this space. The others we found, were way to long.
What to do. What to do…
If you are Impeccable Nest, you scope the surrounding areas, look on Craigslist, and head to New Jersey.
Yep, we made a special trip to New Jersey to get the perfect mate for our breakfast nook.
And…after hearing our crazy story, the lovely owner stayed open late that Saturday night waiting for us to make it. They closed at 6PM and we didn’t get there until 8PM.
Don’t worry, we found a perfect mate for that charming church pew in New Jersey. Painted it white, and off it will go…back to NY.
We will go that extra mile for that one-of-a-kind design.
