We know, everyone says this. But seriously, we can’t believe it is already September. Mid-September at that.

Nothing better than a quick little vacay to help savor the last bits of summer. And the girls love going to the “hotel, motel, HO-LI-DAY INN…say what?” And a few days in Martha’s Vineyard is just what we needed, plus we had a few birthdays in a row that needed to be celebrated.
Last week we drove down to the Cape, caught the ferry out of Woods Hole, and arrived in Vineyard Haven…a little slice of preppy heaven, if you ask me. It was perfect. Hydrangea lined streets, gravel driveways, cedar shingled buildings and the smell of ocean everywhere you looked. We definitely had a nice few days away, and already rented a house for a week, next summer. In fact, it was so New England, and there’s something awesome about that.
Well friends, just sit back and enjoy the sights from the island…you can almost smell the sea.
Until next year.
Goodbye summer.
It was a perfect few days of the beach, strolling, lobster rolls, and just sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of the ocean. We even waited in the long line for Chilmark Chocolates. If you haven’t been it is an experience but expect to wait in line. It’s a thing. #waitinginlineforchilmarkchocolates
